 To all of the parents  that are looking for help with Chritmas presents for your children as well as other needs. I have learned that there is help available in the local communities. I have found help with my children's Christmas presents, food & job searching through our local Spanish Speaking center.

 The center helps people of all ethnisities in the community in their time of need with a food pantry, career development, locating jobs, language classes as well as resources such as local agencies, churches and other nonprofit orginazations that can assist especially this time of year for children of all ages in your family not only the little ones.

We hope that this helps someone else in the way that it has given us some help in our time of need.

If you can find a local mechanic,  Someone with a good reputation.They usually know where there is a vehicle in need of a little TLC and are inexpensiv or drive around a few neighborhoods looking for, for sale signs. People will usually come down on there price if you go there with cash. hope it helps Mery christmas.

My name is Kathy, I have 5 children. I have been out of work on disability for 3 years and am currently trying to go back to work on a part time basis. I have been looking for jobs daily and have my resume posted as well.

My husband left the home recently and I am 1 month behind in rent, 3 months behind in the electric and phone bills and can't afford to have the gas on right now. I am not used to asking for anything,I always try to do things on my own. I have already discussed with my children that there will be no presents this year. However they do have family memebers that they will be receiving presents from and we do have a tree(artificial) and we have plenty of christmas spirit.But, having the bills caught up would be a good present for us to get started in the new year. I do receive child support for 3 of my children but groceries,clothes, shoes, toiletries and gas are about all that I can afford right now.

I heard about this site on the news about a month ago and now that I am in this position I figured that it was worth a try. I am trying very hard not to lose everything before I can land a job that will take care of the bills at least. I have had a couple of interveiws and as of yet no call. I don't know what else to do at this point and have no friends or family with any extra money that I can borrow from. I would greatly appreciate any help that I could receive at this point. I will give information of my landlord for payment and confirmation of receipt as well as the electric co. If anyone could help us.  Humbly yours Kathy
